PAHS MD/MS Program

The Post Graduate (PG) program at PAHS is designed to produce compassionate, competent and patient-centered general practitioner and specialist, able to provide comprehensive and effective management of a wide range of health problems encountered in Nepal, including timely emergency and life-saving interventions.

The unique to the country Competency-Based Medical Education curriculum training program aims to train physicians to become leaders in their fields as healers, educators, researchers and advocates.  The Program is dedicated to developing specialists with comprehensive knowledge and technical skills, excelling in patient care, communication, professionalism, system-based practice, research and leadership. These specialists will also possess a strong sense of social accountability and advocate for the communities they serve, particularly those in rural and disadvantaged areas.

The objectives of PAHS post-graduate program is to provide systematic training under the guidance of qualified faculties so as to produce qualified doctors with wide-ranging skills and experience who have the PAHS eight core competencies (Professionalism, Patient-Centered Care, Community Orientated, Clinical Reasoning, Communication, Procedural Skills, Scholarship, Leadership).
