Rajesh N Gongal, Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Surgery, was the Founding Dean of School of Medicine of PAHS and later became the Rector of PAHS. He is the founding President of Hospice Nepal, the first Palliative Care Centre in Nepal, established twenty-four years ago. He is also the ounding President of Nepal Ambulance Service, the first ambulance service to run in Nepal with EMTs mobilized through a three-digit number. He also started the Primary Trauma Care (PTC) training in Nepal.

Balakrishnan M Acharya holds the position of Professor of Orthopedics and Dean at the School of Medicine in PAHS, Nepal. His responsibilitiesinclude ensuring the smooth implementation of unique undergraduate(UG) and postgraduate(PG) curricula specific to Nepal at PAHS.vHe is an essential member of PAHS and actively participates in various committees. He serves as the member-secretary of the Academic Council of PAHS. As an ex-officio member of Medical Education Commission of Nepal he contributes to the development of policies related to medicalveducation standards and accreditation. His interests lie in exploring the various teaching-learning methods and assessment aspects related to the field of medical education and general orthopedics.
